PETER COLLIER is a political commentator, editor, and author of numerous books, including the best-selling The Kennedys: An American Drama and The Roosevelts: An American Saga. In the 1970s, he was the editor of Ramparts magazine and, more recently, is the founder of Encounter Books. His writings have appeared in a wide variety of leading newspapers and magazines. He is an editor for World Affairs.
